DO YOU KNOW???? (1)

• The finest gift you can give anyone is encouragement.

• New born don’t produce tears. They make crying sounds… tears don’t start falling until they are 4 – 13 weeks old.

• Up to the age of 7month a child can breathe and swallow at the same time… and adult can’t do this if you doubt, try this

• Babies are born with 300 bones, but by adult the number reduce to 206. The reason for this is that many of the bones of children are composed of smaller component bones that are not yet fused like those in the skull…this makes it easier for the baby to pass through birth canal. The bones harden and fuse as the child grows.

• People born with two coloured eyes are ‘heterochromia’.

• The flashes of colour you see in your eyes after you rub them is called ‘phosphene’

• It takes 17muscules to smile and 43 to frown…..unless you are trying to give your face a bit of a workout, smiling is a much easier option for most of us. Anyone who is ever scowled, squinted or frowned for a long period of time knows how it tries out the face which doesn’t do a thing to improve your mood.

• The body has 70,000 miles of blood vessels. The heart pumps through the labyrinth and then back again once every minute.

• We are about 1cm taller in the morning than in the evening. Cartilage between our bones gets compressed by standing, sitting, and other daily activities as the day goes on making us a little us just a little shorter at the end of the day than at the beginning.

• The average brain compromises of two percent of the person total body brain yet it requires 25percent of all oxygen used by the body as opposed to 12percent used by the kidneys and 7% used by the heart.

• The tooth is the only part of the human body that can’t repair itself.

• The average person blinks 12times per minute about 1000 blinks in average day.

• The brain operates on the same amount as the light bulb.

• In blind people, the brains visual cortex is rewired to respond to stimuli received through touch and hearing so they literally see the world through sound and touch.

• Your eyes are always the same size from birth but your nose and ears never stop growing.

• The hardest bone in the human body is the jawbone.

RP is an inherited degenerative eye disease that causes severe vision impairment and often blindness. The progress of RP is not consistent. Some people will exhibit symptoms from infancy, others may not notice until later in life. Generally, the later the onset, the more rapid the deterioration in sight. Those who do not have RP have 90degree peripheral vision while some people who have RP have less than 90degree.
RP is caused by abnormalities of the photo receptors rods and cones or the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) of the retina leading to progressive sight loss.
Affected individuals may experience defective light to dark; dark to light adaptation or nyctalopia (night blindness) as a result of the degeneration of the peripheral visual field (know as tunnel vision) sometimes, central vision is lost first causing the person to look side long at objects. The effect of RP is best illustrated by comparision to a television or computer screen. The pixels of light that form the image on the screen equate to the millions of light receptor on the retina of the eye. The fewer the pixel on the screen, the less distinct with images be.
Fewer than 10% of the light receptors in the eye receive the colored, high intensity light seen in bright day or daylight conditions. These receptors are located in the center of the circular retina. The remaining 90% of light receive gray scale low intensity light used for low light and night vision are located around the Periphery of the retina. RP destroys light receptor from the outside inward, from the centre outward or in sporadic patches with a corresponding reduction in the efficiency of the detect light. This degeneration is progress and has no cure.
Signs and Symptoms:-
– Night blindness or nyctalopia
– Tunnel vision (no peripheral vision)
– Peripheral vision (no central vision)
– Lathe work vision
– Aversion to glare
– Slow adjustment from dark to light environs
– Blurring of vision
– Poor colour separation and extreme tiredness.

Hoping there will be a cure for Retinitis Pigmentosa.

It is an emotion induced by a threat perceived by living entities which causes a change in brain and organ function and ultimately a change in behavior such as running away, hiding or freezing from traumatic events. Fear may occur in response to a specific stimulus happening in the present or to a future situation which is perceived as risk to health to life, status, power, security or in the case of humans; wealth or anything held valuable.
The fear response arises from the perception of danger leading to confrontation with or escape from/avoiding the threat which in extreme cases of fear can freeze response or paralysis.
In humans and animals, fear is modulated by the process of cognition and learning thus, fear has been judged as rational or appropriate and irrational or inappropriate.
An irrational fear is called a Phobia.
It is a vital response of physical and emotional danger. Most times, we fear situations that are far from life or death and have hanged back for no good reason.
Bad experiences can trigger a fear response from within us that is hard to quell. Yet exposing ourselves to our personal demons is the best way to move past them.
There are different types of fear but the most common ones are:
• Fear of death
• Fear of failure
• Fear of the unknown
• Fear of flying
Fear is the brain reaction to a stimulus where chemical are released that raise the heart rate.
Fear is a mind killer.
Most times, what we fear comes to pass more speedily than we expect.
Being frightened is an experience you can’t buy.
My acronym about fear is:
F- False
E- Evidence
A- Appearing
R- Real
Yea, cause most times we just get scared of what we’ve imagined or seen and these thought appears real….. even when it’s not.
Fear is a tyrant, more terrible than the rack and more potent than the snake.
Whispering harm where harm is not
And deluding the unwary
Till the fatal bolt is shot!_ Words worth
Face your fears and always be calm at every situation.

In the fast rapid and busy times it is likely that most of the population gets trapped in the lack of time to visit the hospital. The belief is to have a one all cure medication or pill to cure all. The problem is compounded with the lack of serious regulation for the pharmaceutical industry, giving rise to quackery, under dosage, over dosage, and a plethora of drug abuse. Drugs such as antibiotics ampiclox; analgesics such as aspirin and ibruprofen. All medications has side effects and should be taken with caution, presciption should be by authorised personnel and compliance to prevent any overt drug resistance whereby efficacy is reduced caustic substances such as touch and go ground bottles and shells, magical all cure powders should be legally and officially prohibited. Placing of tablets on the oral muccous membrane should be discouraged.
Conventional wisdom always is a visit to the dental sugery.
– Medical, Social History.
Medicine prides itself as a science based on evidence and knowledge. The history most often tells you and guides you to the diagnosis. The body works in arelated way and there is a complex inter-twining of processes that history and examination often helps give an insight to the diagnosis of the condition. There are conditions that will be diagnosed mainly by the social history, consumption of food types, social habits whether a smoker, or a drinker of alcohol, wines and spirits. Occupational hazards like farming due to exposure to sunlight can lead to a diagnosis. Even overt actions like drug abuses, inhalation of substances, use of snuff, betel nut chewing, others like tobacco, kolanut chewing, coffee drinking e.t.c. The wrong usage of drugs, reactions of drugs, the interactions, allergies and so forth can point the doctor in the direction of a definitive diagnose hence, it is not to be assumed that the questions the doctor is asking are irrelevant.
– Abrasion of Teeth
This is a condition that affects the teeth surfaces mainly the outer layer enamel and next layer (inner) dentine is similarly worn. The main cause of the condition is the over-brushing of teeth, exerting excessive force during tooth-brushing. Abrasion is soon most at the teeth, around the corner of the mouth, these teeth are called canines and the pre-molar. The attrition makes such teeth become sensitive to hot or cold drinks and sweetened food stuffs. The dentine contains nerve fibres that elicit sensations of the teeth.
– Abscess
An abscess of any form refers to collection of pus; the pus could be bacterial in origin Abscesses can occur in any part of the bodytissue. If the abscess originated from the tooth, it is referred to as dento-alveolar abscess. The abscess resulting from the invasion of the tooth pulp, a consequence of dental decay which destroys the protective layers of the teeth enamel and dentine. The result is that the pulp becomes exposed to bacteria. These bacteria are nominally resident in the mouth, saliva. Whenever there is a dental abscess, affected teeth become painful making eating and sleeping difficult and general discomfort. The gums and other tissues becomes, swollen. If a formed tooth abscess is not treated, it may track through the tissue spaces…..resulting in spread of infection. There is a potential to spread to organs of the body like the brain or through the neck into the lungs leading to difficulty in breathing or even death.
– Accesory Teeth
The word accessory describes an additional or an excess to the normal complement of teeth. The accesory teeth can be found anywhere in the teeth bearing areas of the jaws, upper lower jaw. It often is referred to as double teeth Acromegaly:- This condition affects many bones in the body, this includes facial bones. The cause being the over production of a hormone, growth hormone by a part of the gland in the body called the anterior pituitary gland. Some of the features seen in the condition is the enlargement of the bones of the hands especially the digits, the fingers, feat enlargement and nose. Headache is also a common symptom.
– Acrylic
This is a chemical substance which is basically plastic it is used for tooth restoration and removable partial denture. The drawback in the use of acrylic is the rate of wear and tear and the colour which tends 2 be discoloured.

If you keep bailing out of relationships everytime they hit troubled waters, get used to your own company-it’s the only company you’ll have!. The best relationship you can hope for is an imperfect one you keep working on everyday. Relationships can’t be based on seing eye-to-eye on all points, but on a commitment to love each other and a willingness to work for peace.
Notice, peace making is ‘work’, but the rewards are worth it. Relationships are always worth restoring God wants us to value our relationships instead of discarding them everytime there’s a problem.
If you are serious about restoring a broken relationship, before you talk to the other person, talk to God. He can change their heart, your heart or both hearts. It’s just amazing how different you feel when you’ve prayed.
Often, the conflicts is rooted in unmet needs. Anytime you expect human beings to meet needs only God can meet, you are in trouble. What causes…..quarrels among you?. You want something but don’t get it….You don’t have, because you didn’t ask God! instead of looking to God. You look to people.
Then you get angry when they fail you. Make sure you arrange to talk to them one-on-one. Even though you’ve been offended, God expects you to make the first move.
We say; time heals; not necessarily, sometimes it just causes wounds to fester. Taking control of the situation reduces damage. Bitterness only hurts your fellowship with God and keeps your prayers from being answered.
Don’t try 2 mend a relationship when u’re tired, rushed or will be interrupted. And don’t do it on the hoof!. The time and effort you’re willing to put into restoring it indicates the value you place on the relationship so do it when you’re both at your best.
Getting along with each other requires more than compliance. It calls for cooperation. So make sure you validate the other person’s feelings!.
Never try to talk someone out of how they ‘feel’ listen without being defensive, and nod that you understand.- Even when you don’t agree. Feelings aren’t always true or logical, but until they’re validated you won’t get anywhere.
When you are willing to empathise with someone feelings, it says; I care about our relationship more than our differences; you matter to me! yes, it’s a sacrifice to patiently absorb somebody’s anger especially when it is unfounded.
Since we all have blind spots, get a friend to help you evaluate your attitudes and actions before meeting with the other person. Ask God, ”Am I part of the problem? Am I unrealistic, insensitive or too sensitive?” confession is a powerful tool!.
When you can admit your flaws, it defuses the other person’s anger because they are expecting you to be defensive. Don’t make excuses or shift blames, just acknowledge your part.
Here are 2 things you must do in order to mend a broken relationship:-
1. Attack the problem, not the person.
You can’t fix the problem, if you’re obsessed with fixing the blame. In resolving any conflict, how you say it is important. If you say it offensively, you’ll be received defensively. You are never persuasive when you’re abrasive!. Don’t use words that are condemning, belittling, comparing, labeling, insulting. Condescending or sarcastic rather, use…..helpful words… that what you’ll say will do good to those who hear you.
2. Focus on your relationship, not your differences. It’s unrealistic to expect everybody to agree about everything. But when we focus on the relationship, the problem often loses its significance, it dimninishes or become irrelevant. Often we can re-establish the relationship even though we’re unable to resolve your differences. We’ll always have honest disagreements.
You may need to continue discussing it-but now you agree to do it in the spirit of love. Reconciliation means burying the hatchet, not necessarily the issue. So who do you need to contact now?. With whom do you need to restore fellowship?. Pick up the phone and begin the process…..

There’s a story about a family who had the pastor over for dinner, and mum asked their five- year – old to pray over the food.
Puzzled, the child asked, ‘what should I say’?
Her mum replied, just say what you’ve heard me say ‘so bowing her head, the little girl prayed,
‘Dear God, why on earth did I invite the pastor over to dinner?’
Let’s be honest, hospitality is hard work. It involves sacrifice. But you are to do this ungrudgingly. [without complaining].
A man conducting a church survey wrote to a nationally synidicated advice columist, that of almost 200 churches he visited, he was spoken to in only one by someone other than an ‘official greeter’ – and that was to tell him he was sitting in their seat!.
It’s so easy to extend love to people you know…. But what of people you don’t know? And those who don’t fit in your social circle? Yes, you can find excuses – you’re too busy, you don’t wanna get involved and you are uncomfortable around strangers.
But God says you represent him… and that means sacrificing your time and money, going out on a limb for people you don’t know or even like…That’s practising hospitality!

Elizabeth Ann Velasquez known as Lizzie Valeoquez is an American lady born on March 13, 1989. She was once called the world’s ugliest woman. She was born with a medical condition so rare that only two people in the world are thought to have it.
She weighs just only 60 pounds (27kg) and has no adipose tissue and cannot create muscle, store energy or gain weight. This means she has zero body fat and therefore cannot gain weight.
Having no body fat or muscle tissue makes her prone to injuries that most of us will never think about like stress fractures in her foot from walking or standing, since her feet have no padding.
She is blind in her right eye which began to cloud over when she was 4 years old and has limited vision in the other eye. Doctors have described her condition as a form of Neonatal Progeroid Syndrome.
Her age was 23 in Sept 2013, a time when she was nearing graduation from Texas State University majoring in Communication Studies.
She is a motivational speaker known for public speaking anti-bullying activism, public appearances and book authorship. She inspired women in ’12 during an inter view with CNN, she said that people should stop staring and start learning!.
She has written 3 books; her second book in 2012 has an intriguing title, ”Be beautiful, Be you”. In that book, she advocated that appearance didn’t matter, one should love oneself for what one is. She is a Roman Catholic. She has also spoken out about her belief in God. She said God has blessed her with the greatest blessings of her life which is her Syndrome [her medical condition].
Hmmmn…..the so called ugliest woman in the world, weighing only 60pounds, no body fat, no muscle tissue, unpadded feet, prone to stress fractures, yet she tells people to shine and be beautiful.
Now check yourself out… You are complete with 2 hands, legs, eyes etc you are fearful and wonderfully made by God! yet you think less of yourself.
Quit mourning your situation! A better and greater tomorrow lies ahead of you!.

Life is God’s gift to mankind. Most people think it isn’t God’s gift…[atheists especially]. They think life just came about through a successive generation or through some biological species.
Not trying to go into the theological aspect but on a serious note; life is God’s gift! God allowed continuity and when he says our stay on earth is over, life’s opposite takes place [i.e DEATH].
Your Existence in life is for a purpose. Life doesn’t evolve in our day 2 day activities. It should be based on our achievements, fulfilment and great choices. You need to live a purposeful life by making impact positively in other people’s life. You need to leave a trail for others to follow.
Though life can be so unfair and makes people wonder if its worth living. the circumstances and tragedies in life make some people think of what seem a definite solution-suicide. This is the trail some leave and others follow thinking if you are in tough times [either, emotionally, financially, physically, academically, maritally etc] just commit suicide. What people can’t come into terms to understand is the fact that no one can avoid challenges of life.
No being can just exist without going through the Biological process of life which includes:-
Respiration, Death, Irritability, Movement, Reproduction, Nutrition, Adaptation, Growth and Competition.
Life is based on competition… competitions; not only in material, marital, business, achievements or academic aspect…. But competition with life’s challenges and the tough situations that appears right in front of you. You need to compete with these and come out as a winner… and if you don’t win, just overcome that challenge [don’t let it over power you] and move on with life. And when you forge ahead in life, don’t reflect on past situations. Don’t think of what you’ll ve done to avoid that situation. The fact that you overcame that challenge is all that matters.
The strongest people in life I’ve known are those who have know defeat, suffering, struggle, loss and have found their way out of it. These people have an appreciation, sensitivity and real understanding of life.
Most people feel life shouldn’t be taken with levity. Yeah this true, considering the happenings in the world generally. Everyone is too cautious and lose that zeal to live a purposeful life.
You don’t have to be a president, governor, activisit or a patriot before you can live a purposeful life. If you don’t have a clue on what else you can do to make your existence worthwhile; here’s what you need to do [or can do] to make your life purposeful.
– Worry about other people
[I.e friend(good and bad), siblings, family, lesspriviledge, orphans, the disabled, the sick, beggars etc].
– Give to people in need
[if you’ve got more than enough and you know your neighbour or any other person is in need, just don’t hesitate; even if you don’t have enough, the little you give will be appreciated and not forgotten].
– Give good advise
[words accomplish much, not just any word but good, and words…. learn to give a piece of what you think about any situation. Your positive word is what people need]
– Encourage others
– Smile to people
[known or unknown, smile to people[dis seem dope] but it means a lot and you’ll be surprised this can help a failing life. Do you know that smiles help your health too?. If you don’t know, find that out yourself!
– Be on a social media and connect with the world [This gives you the opportunity to meet with stranger, creepy, annoying and hilarious people] Your been there could help too.
– Exhibit good characters and make yourself worth emulating.
– Pray!
[ To your creator, pray for other people, pray for yuor family, pray for the sick, pray for the homeless, pray for your Country and the world at large]
All these if perfectly carried out, then you’ve lived a purposeful life. you’ve successful left a trail in which others can follow[that’s if they wish to…lol]. Note that if the world doesn’t recognise you, that’s not just relevant; people around you can never forget you and if they forget, it’s not a problem; your lineage will know that a ‘you’ once existed.
You can not please everyone in life. So do the best you can and make sure you are fulfilled for good.
Most times, the way we plan our lives don’t usually turn out as we expect….. Don’t bother about that, we must be willing to let go of the life we planned in order to have the life that’s waiting for us.
Here’s the summary of life:————by Mother Teresa
Life is an Opportunity – Benefit from it
Life is beauty – Admire it
Life is dream – Realize it
Life is a challenge – Meet it
Life is a game – Play it
Life is a promise – Fulfil it
Life is sorrow – Overcome it
Life is a song – Sing it
Life is struggle – Accept it
Life is tragedy – Confront it
Life is an adventure – Dare it
Life is luck – Make it
Life is too precious – Do not destroy it
Life is life – Fight for it.
Life is a movie, write your own ending; keep believing, keep acting…

Always remember that you carry in your hand a torch which shows the rest of the World who you are. If you decide to put the light out, you’ll grope in darkness. If you decide to make it shine brighter, you’ll be illuminated. If you decide to oppress others like Adolf Hilter did, always remember his end. If you decide to liberate the society like Late Nelson Mandela, always remember the respect accorded to him all over the world.
Remember that you can do nothing without God. Therefore allow him lead you.
Show me a nation full of goodness and I will show you a nation filled with determined and united people.
Our destiny is in our hands. Don’t sell it.
Most corrupt leaders use people as tools to carry out their nefarious acts.
The simple truth is that without you and me, they can’t perpetrate their evil deeds.
Don’t go in search of filthy lucre. Your value is not determined by your valuables. You might end up losing it in a sorry way.
There is joy in integrity.

Corruption as an adjective means ”utterly broken”

Decades back, corrupt practise was something to be ashamed of. It was a rear phenomenom.
Anybody caught in any corrupt act would be punished.
The person even carrying out the practise would hide his/her misdeed in the fear of been exposed.

Now, it has become a global phenomenom. As the year roll by corruption has been a thing to be overlooked. The virus has eaten deep and people no longer care if they are caught, exposed or not.
every life style includes one corrupted activity or the other. The entire system has been effected by this virus and it is absolutely incurable.
Notwithstanding, this virus can be cured but that is if the whole system wants to be cured of corruption.
This decision is by choice and it can only be achieve when every individual thinks of it has a bad act.
It’s until people start realising it destroys one’s reputation. And affects one generation.
If no one sees or think of the aftermath of corruption then it is definately incurable.

Generally people now take corruption as a way of life.
Remember it is even more difficult to improve a decayed system than make a new clean system.

So, what now?
